ACWiFi opened the Nokia Bell EA0327GMP, an operator router carrying a BE3600-class configuration. The useful part is not the Nokia/Bell label but how an operator unit combines its PHY, radios, memory, and power design.1
Chassis, ports, and power
The unit uses a 12V/1.5A adapter. ACWiFi measured 4.8 W with no network cable and 6.1 W with a 2.5G WAN link. It has four Ethernet ports, with the WAN port running at 2.5G even though the chassis does not clearly mark it.
Hardware inside
The WAN 2.5G PHY is a YT8821C. The CPU is an AN7563PT dual-core 1 GHz part; the source says it “should be A53”, so I keep that as the author's qualification rather than asserting an architecture without the accompanying datasheet. A3T4GF40CBF-HP provides 256 MB of RAM.
The MT7991BV radio supports 2x2 MIMO at 2.4 GHz up to 688 Mbps and 2x2 at 5 GHz up to 2882 Mbps with 160 MHz. MT7976CN is the RF chip, integrating a 2T2R FEM for 2.4 GHz and a 3T3R FEM for 5 GHz. GD5F1GM7UEYIG provides 128 MB of flash.
Features and limits
The source records default support for 802.11k/802.11v, beamforming, and MU-MIMO. The sample had already been given away before ACWiFi could run a K-point test, so there is no unit-specific Wi-Fi throughput table to use as a conclusion.
I check operator firmware, bootloader access, revision labels, and update policy before buying. The silicon suggests a Wi-Fi 7 platform, but it does not prove OpenWrt support or community firmware compatibility.
Practical conclusion
EA0327GMP is a useful example of reading an operator router by its components: 2.5G WAN, 256 MB RAM, 128 MB flash, and MT7991BV/MT7976CN radios. Because the unit lacks its own K-point results and long-term data, I use the teardown to screen hardware only, not to promise performance or modding support.
