TP-Link XDR3010 v9.0: Wi‑Fi 6, Triductor Silicon, and a Simpler Firmware Platform

The XDR3010 v9.0 is notable because ACWiFi identified Triductor/创耀's TR5220 radio and a relatively low-power design. I keep the source's distinction between measurements and its uncertain CPU inference.1

Exterior and BOM

The unit uses a 12V/1A adapter, draws 3.27 W at idle without a network cable, and weighs 381 g. It has four Gigabit ports, flat “pixel” style external antennas, and a heatsink longer than the board. The board carries one CPU, one dual-band Wi‑Fi chip, and an external 5 GHz FEM.

The radio is TR5220, supporting dual-band 802.11ax. 2.4 GHz 2x2 reaches 576 Mbps at 40 MHz; 5 GHz 2x2 reaches 2402 Mbps at 160 MHz. The two 5 GHz FEMs are KCT8531HE. On 2.4 GHz, an external MXD7223 LNA/switch is present, while the 2.4 GHz PA is integrated into the radio.

The CPU is Triductor's TR6560 and integrates four Gigabit ports. The boot log read by ACWiFi shows U-Boot 2022.07, Linux 5.10.201, and DRAM: 123 MiB; the author references Hi5651L V200 to estimate a dual-core 1.2 GHz design but explicitly treats that as an inference. Flash is EN25QQX128A, with 16 MB capacity. I therefore do not present the inferred “128 MB” figure as a confirmed specification.

Forwarding, radio, and software context

The two-way 64-byte PacketMaster test reached 1.488 Mpps. In that test, the CPU was not a concern for saturating a Gigabit port.

The K-point test used four phones on 5 GHz channel 44. The author considered the result unremarkable; some measurements used another app because the speedtest app was unavailable in the described environment. The firmware defaults to 802.11k/v, MU-MIMO, and beamforming. The article's reference price is 139 yuan, and the feature set is less extensive than Wi‑Fi 7 models.

What it means for a buyer

The v9.0 revision is more than a cosmetic change. The Triductor radio, external 5 GHz FEMs, and 16 MB flash create a platform that is different from what the XDR3010 name alone suggests. Low idle power can be useful for a router that runs continuously, but it says nothing by itself about thermals, longevity, or real Internet throughput.

I also do not infer OpenWrt support from the chip identification. Flashing alternative firmware requires support for the exact hardware revision, flash layout, and recovery path; the teardown does not establish those conditions.

Source limits

This is a teardown with one forwarding test and a K-point test, not a complete benchmark of NAT, VLAN, VPN, multi-client behavior, or roaming. The CPU specification partly comes from a related chip reference, so it must be reported with that uncertainty.

Conclusion

XDR3010 v9.0 uses TR5220, TR6560, KCT8531HE FEMs, and an MXD7223 LNA/switch, with 16 MB flash and 1.488 Mpps in the bidirectional test. It is an interesting low-power revision, but the practical decision depends on the 139-yuan price, Gigabit-only ports, current firmware, and support boundaries.
